VERSUS MODE (DOUBLE ELIM TOURNAMENT)
The Versus Event is a double-elimination, playoff-styleevent, with Winner’s and Loser’s brackets. The match deadline days will be the normal CEVO rotation of Monday/Thursday,with the exception of the holidays. Specific dates for each round, along with the map being played, can be found on your group’s brackets, here: http://www.cevo.com/index.php?page=forum&func=viewthread&id=9401. The winner of the Loser’s Bracket must defeat the winner of the Winner’s bracket *twice* in order to win the event.
Because the Versus event is playoff-style, roster additions can ONLY be made with the permission of the next opposing team, in the matchcomm thread.
Matches must be played on servers running the CEVO Mod,available here: http://www.cevo.com/index.php?page=downloads&func=l4d. Servers running other configs will have the match subject to forfeit.
When entering the score for Versus matches, put both team scores under “H1″. If OT was required, put the OT score under “OT”.
Team Captains must take screenshots at the end of each round, AND a screenshot of the result of the console command “sm plugins”. All team members must record demos of the match.

SCAVENGE MODE (OPEN GROUP PLAY/PLAYOFFS)
The Scavenge Mode event consists of two parts: an open group play event, with 8 groups of 9 teams, of which the two top teams in each group(as determined by W/L record) will advance to a 16-team double-elimination tournament. As with Versus, the winners of the Loser’s Bracket will need to defeat the winner of the Winner’s Bracket twice to win the event.
There is NO set schedule for the Scavenge event, with the sole deadline for all matches being January 11, 2010. That means teams may schedule any match with any team in any order they please. For Open Group Play, the Match will be defined as Best-of-3 rounds. Use the in-game L4D2 tie break mechanism(time) to determine the winner in the case of a 16/16 round.
The roster unlock period for Scavenge will be from December 23 to December 30, with no exceptions (including matchcomm postings). Once Scavenge enters the Playoff phase, additions may be made with opposing team consent in the matchcomm thread.

It is your team’s responsibility to verify Steam IDs *prior* to the start of the match.Teams are not forced to play against teams with players without SteamIDs entered. Spectators are *not*allowed at any time in-game, with the exception of CEVO-approved game casters.
